ClassNotFoundException: Didn't find class androidx.multidex.MultiDexApplication

If you are using androidx, use androidx.multidex:multidex.

dependencies {
    // api 'com.android.support:multidex:1.0.3'
    api 'androidx.multidex:multidex:2.0.1'
}

If the problem still persist, try Android Studio -> Build -> Clean Project.

NOTE: Refer Enable Android MultiDex.
